Lots of exciting things have been happening musically at the Church:

The Passion of Easter
First of all I would like to say how proud I am of all the Pianissimo and PP+ members that worked so hard to prepare music for our Easter Services. Your hard work and dedication shone through and created some magical music for Easter.

The four days of Easter were intense and full of passion. We were very honoured to be able to sing Sorrow in My Heart composed several years ago by our very own Peter Banks. Remember Me also written by Peter was sung by Roxy, Pat, Peter and myself and ended with the most powerful organ work played by the composer himself. I was quite overcome with the powerful combination of scripture, prayer, sermon and music. I think many people felt the same and it was a privilege to work to help bring the Easter music together.

PP+ were in full flourish on Easter Morning which truly lifted our spirits in the BIG SING. Over 160 people attended the 9.30 BIG SING service and filled the church with musical joy. A friend of mine who was outside the church said she could hear us from up the road.

Your Choir Needs YOU!
With no rest for the group, we are now working towards our Pentecost Services with both Pianissimo and PP+. If you would be interested in singing with Pianissimo please do give me a call or email. All voice types are very welcome but we could especially do with some more tenors and basses. Don't be shy - give it a try!

Your Church Needs YOU!
So looking forward, as the music within the church continues to grow and we are seeing the significance of music within the church, we are looking to investing in some new sound and visual equipment for the Church to improve our worship.

Our vision is to be able to offer the best sound we can for both the Church and the Church Hall. Our Church is in the centre of the community. The building is the perfect venue to support all sorts of services, weddings, funerals, re-newals, blessings, community events, concerts, fundraising and, of course, worship. In order to do this successfully, we need to invest in better audio equipment to make the Church attractive for people to use. We are developing our musicianship, we need the ability to share it.

The PCC will be meeting on the 20th May to discuss some detailed proposals but we will need your help. The cost of installing updated sound equipment into the church is going to need support both in time and finance. We will need to start fundraising to support the development and I would ask you to think if you can help in any way. The church will be organising specific fundraising events - do you have any time to help. If so please give me a call. Would you be interest in contributing to the project financially? If so, we would like to hear from you.

More details about the project and the amount we need to raise will become clear after the PCC away day but any offers of help and support would be great to hear.

What a difference a year makes
I have been in the church for just over a year now and it is wonderful to see what we have achieved musically. There is so much passion from our congregation and the wider community that I look forward to working with everyone over the next 365 day!

Please do feel free to contact me at any time with any of your thoughts and ideas.
